My name is Natsuki, I live in Japan.  I’m a composer and arranger of  Japanese pop. 

 

I usually work in Japan making music for main stream Japanese audiences. But I’m interested in working internationally. 

 

There are a lot of fantastic things in the world. I enjoy going out side in nature and coming in contact with new things. In order to hone my musical sensitivity I go abroad annually to experience the arts including museums, musicals, and dance. 

 

I’m always considering the big picture, topics like philosophy, existentialism, identity, interest me. For everything that exists, nothing is in vain as if even one thing were missing, this world would all fall apart. My sensitivity allows me to feel every part of the universe that supports such a fragile world. I expressed the contrast between the seen and unseen worlds through this music.

 

In this project my sensitivity, like my music, was forged in nature. I recorded the sounds of wind, water, snow, cries of birds, and so much more. I processed these sounds and made music based on them.

 

Most significant things for me are expressing the mysterious world that forms the deep, unseen, internal core of all that we see: everything. I aim to bring that world to life more than ever before through sound and music.

I began playing the piano when I was 4 years old. I began studying composition when I was 17 years old. I have formed jazz and bossa nova bands and I have experience with pop and electronica. I have made my own original works.
I was also in charge of MIDI production, manipulators, mixing, and mastering at a music production company. But in order to express my own creativity and feelings through my work, I left my previous company and started working as a freelancer.
